Dunmanway is getting a new fire station!

TD Christopher O'Sullivan's department has just provided €3 million to Cork County Council to provide a new fire station at Brookpark.

This is great news for Dunmanway and the whole of West Cork!

The Dunmanway Brigade respond to an average of 101 incidents annually, broken down to 35 turnouts to fires, 55 turnouts to special service incidents (e.g. road traffic collisions) and 10 false alarms.

The current Fire station was first opened in 1948, and has only one bay station, no designated parking for our firefighters and not enough accomodation or welfare facilities.

This move also opens up possibilities for the old fire station location to be used for the benefit of the community in Dunmanway.
